Asmik Grigorian

For anyone wishing to take part in a truly breathtaking programme, and not shying away from shedding a tear, the place to be is at the aria evening of Asmik Grigorian, who in recent times has delivered some of the most outstanding vocal and dramatic performances. The singer was named Opera Singer of the Year by Opernwelt magazine, which wrote of her: “She was Salome in Hamburg, Turandot in Vienna, Lisa in Munich. There could be no doubt that Asmik Grigorian would once again win the title of Singer of the Year for her portrayals of these roles.” This was already the second time Grigorian received the honour. Now it is time for the first occasion when she dazzles the audience on the stage of the Hungarian State Opera.
