In the 25 January 2021 programme of Terzet-Trio, viewers could enjoy music through the ages from the baroque period to present days: Italian duets, a Mozart paraphrase, old French dances in 19th century interpretation and a string quartet of a contemporary Hungarian composer. The stream started at 8:00 p.m. on Facebook and Origo.hu.
The Opera Chorus made a selection of duets by Italian composers. The baroque composer Giacomo Carissimi (1605–1674) was one of the most notable and influential personalities of his age. His students included such great talents as Alessandro Scarlatti and Marc-Antoine Charpentier. The chorus master of the chapel of Collegio Germanico in Rome composed oratorios, masses and secular cantatas. The programme featured the duets Vaghi rai pupille ardenti and A piè d'un verde alloro performed by Katalin Töreky and Mónika Németh, accompanied by Béla Gál (cello) and Krisztina Andrássy-Neuenstein (harpsichord). They were followed by pieces by the well-known Gaetano Donizetti (1797–1848): L'alito di Bice, L'incostanza di Irene, Amor, voce del cielo and I bevitori were performed by Rebeka-Asztrid Mitrasca and Orsolya Bagosi, accompanied on the piano by Katalin Szirtes.
Musicians of the Opera Orchestra had proved their talents by performing paraphrases of popular pieces before. The first movement of Symphony No. 25 in G minor (K 183) by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756–1791) adapted for brass instruments was performed by Mihály Könyves-Tóth, Tamás Dávida (trumpet), Csaba Bencze and Norbert Zakó (trombone). In the career of composer Péter Tiszai (b. 1973), the music of Bartók meant the real turning point, whereas his masters include such contemporaries as György Orbán and János Vajda. Movements 2 & 3 from his String Quartet were played by Imola Rajka (first violin), Éva Paul (second violin), Csaba Babácsi (viola) and István Balázs (cello). Viewers of the series could already hear a cantata in the performance of the Chorus by the French composer Vincent d'Indy (1851–1931). The excerpts I. Prelude, II. Entrée and IV. Menuet from Suite dans le style ancien were performed by János Rácz, Márta Kunszeri (flute), Balázs Winkler (trumpet), Judit Kovács (first violin), András Tallián (second violin), Attila Lukács (viola) and Anikó Sabján (cello).
