Alessandro Amoretti, born in Livorno (Italy), is a vocal coach and pianist, well known in prestigious international music institutions. He graduated from the Conservatory of Lucca and completed his studies at the Accademia Musicale Pescarese and the Gnesin Institute in Moscow. After having been head of studies at the opera houses in Bremen and Weimar, Alessandro has been working as a freelance musician since 2011.
He is a guest vocal coach in various opera houses and festivals, such as the Glyndebourne Festival, BBC Proms, Salzburg Festival, Bregenz Festival, Théatre des Champs Elysées, Theater Aachen, Staatstheater Darmstadt, Drottningholm Theater, Norrland's Opera, Royal Opera Stockholm, Royal Opera Copenhagen, National Opera Warsaw, Shanghai Opera, Bolshoi Theater Moscow, Stanislavski Theater Moscow. Alessandro has worked with conductors such as Giuseppe Sinopoli, Gustav Kuhn, Arnold Östman and Marco Armiliato, among others. In recent years he has had a regular collaboration as a musical assistant and vocal coach with Maestro Enrique Mazzola.
He gives master classes and vocal coaching at academic institutions such as the University of South Carolina, the Royal Danish Opera Academy, the Sibelius Academy, the Bremen University of the Arts, the Academy of Opera of Paris, the Franz Liszt Music Academy Weimar, the Young Artist Program of the Bolshoi Theater Moscow and the Elena Obraztsova Foundation in Moscow.
In addition to his coaching activities, Alessandro has performed as a pianist in the USA, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Italy, with institutions such as the Munich Residence and the Accademia Chigiana, among others.
As a continuo player, he has performed with renowned orchestras such as the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestre de Radio France, the Orchestre Nationale d'Île de France, the Staatskapelle Weimar, the Drottningholm Court Theatre Orchestra and others.
