Born in Makó in 1978, Antal Cseh studied in the solo voice programme at the University of Szeged's Faculty of Music, where his teacher was István Andrejcsik, between 2000 and 2005. In 2004, in parallel with his studies in Szeged, he also started the opera voice course at the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest under Éva Andor and Balázs Kovalik, passing his final examination in 2006. He has participated in master classes with Júlia Hamari, Katalin Halmai, László Polgár, Renato Bruson, Yevgeny Nesterenko, Tamás Vásáry and Éva Marton. He made his debut with the Hungarian State Opera in 2007 in the role of Roucher (in Andrea Chénier). In addition to his appearances here, he also performs with the National Theatre of Pécs, the Csokonai National Theatre of Debrecen and the National Theatre of Miskolc.
