Péter Galambos graduated as a theatre director from the Academy of Theatre and Film Arts after initially pursuing fine arts studies in applied graphic design. He is primarily a theatre director, but he himself also designs the sets and writes the scripts for the stage. His spectacular scenic designs originate from his fine arts activities. As a director and set designer, he has created numerous major productions with the companies of the New Theatre, Veszprém's Petőfi Theatre, Zsámbék's Theatre and Art Basis, the Bárka Theatre, the Vörösmárty Theatre, the Jászai Mari Theatre, the Gárdonyi Géza Theatre, the Ruttkai Éva Theatre, the Szegedi National Theatre, the Central Theatre, the Madách Theatre and the Budapest Chamber Theatre.
