Born into a musical family, Lilla Horti commenced her music studies at the arts school in Csongrád, studying voice under her father, and later flute under Tímea Dulics. At the Szeged Conservatory, she started out studying flute but later switched to studying voice under Tímea Zita Somogyvári. She has been a student of Ingrid Kertesi's at the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music since 2011.
In the summer of 2012, she made her début on the opera stage in the Szeged Open-Air Festival's production of Mascagni's Cavalleria rusticana and Leoncavallo's Pagliacci. Her first role as a soloist was as the First Lady in Die Zauberflöte, during the 2013/14 season.
At the Hungarian State Opera, she has sung the roles of Masha (in The Queen of Spades) and Mimì (in La bohème).
