Paul Marsovszky was born and grew up in Germany, he got interested in music from an early age. He studied piano and violin, and sang in the children's choir of the Gärtnerplatztheater in Munich. He sang in La Bohème, Carmen, Hänsel und Gretel and also one of the three boys in the Magic Flute.
An age 15 he continued his musical studies in Budapest: after the Béla Bartók Conservatory of Music, he graduated from the conducting department at Franz Liszt Music Academy (Professors: András Ligeti and Ádám Medveczky). He continued his studies at UdK Berlin and became Iván Fischer's assistant conductor with the Budapest Festival Orchestra in 2019. He took part in several international conducting competitions, such as the Maestro Solti Competition Budapest 2017, Deutscher Dirigentenpreis 2019 and 2021, Donatella Flick Competition 2021, Malko Competition 2021 and Kodály Competition Debrecen 2023.
In 2018, he participated in Bernard Haitink's masterclass and was awarded the Bayreuth-Scholarship by the Budapest Wagner-Society. He recently worked with the Budapest Philharmonic Orchestra, Máv Symphony Orchestra, Alba Regia Symphony Orchestra and Munich Symphony Orchestra. Since 2023 he is represented by Austroconcert International Music Management.
He conducted his debut at the Hungarian State Opera in 2022 with the ballet Mayerling.
