Ildikó Lilla Megyimórecz was born in Pécs to a family of musicians. After graduating from the Pécs Secondary School of Arts, she was accepted to the classical singing specialisation led by Professor Emeritus Ks. Éva Marton at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest. As her student, Ildikó received an opera singer degree summa cum laude in 2019. She was the only Hungarian to be awardedthe Wagner Association’s state scholarship and she represented Hungary in Bayreuth in 2018. She debuted on the Hungarian State Opera’s stage when she took the female lead in Jenő Kenessey’s opera Az arany meg az asszony (TheGold and the Woman) before she had even graduated. In 2019, Ildikó was a finalist in the Fanny Mendelssohn Competition in Hamburg.
Her repertoire includes: Electra (Idomeneo), Countess (Le nozze di Figaro), Salome, Manon (Manon Lescaut), Michaela/Frasquita (Carmen), Elizabeth (Don Carlos), Elisabeth (Tannhäuser), Musetta (La bohème) and Liù (Turandot)
