Ágnes Molnár the soprano, born in the region of Csallóköz (Žitný ostrov), sang her first opera solo at the age of 21 on the stage of the National Theatre of Győr. In 2008, she was accepted to the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest, where she graduated in 2013 as a student under Magda Nádor. She participated in the master’s courses held by Sylvia Sass, Éva Marton, and Júlia Hamari.
Since then, the audience has had a chance to see her in numerous opera and operetta performances, such as Mozart: Le nozze di Figaro (Susanna), Die Zauberflöte (Pamina), Don Giovanni (Zerlina), Puccini: La bohème (Musetta), Gluck: Orfeo ed Euridice (Euridice), Kacsóh: János vitéz (French princess). She has also participated in a number of contemporary Hungarian and foreign world premieres, (Zsófia Tallér: Leánder és Lenszirom (Leander and Linseed); Taralli: Psalmus pro Humana Regeneratione ; Béla Faragó: Átváltozás (Transition) ; László Dubrovay: A váltságdíj (The Ransom); Csemiczky: Hymni Ambrosiani, Cinque pezzi sacri).
Ágnes Molnár has sung in famous concert halls such as Carnegie Hall in New York (Aldo Finzi: Serenata al vento), the Forbidden City Concert Hall in Beijing, Teatro Verdi in Trieste, and Teatro Verdi in Pisa, where she performed alongside Andrea Bocelli. She is a recurring soloist for Hungary’s leading orchestras (Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Hungarian National Philharmonic, MÁV Symphony Orchestra).
She debuted at the Hungarian State Opera with the role of Papagena in 2014.
