After graduating from Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music Attila Pacsay started writing music for films.
Between 2001 and 2013 he served on the faculty of the Media Institute at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest.
He gained international recognition with the quirky score of Maestro, garnering more than 100 international awards and nominated for the 79th Academy Awards. His compositions encompass a wide variety of music from chamber music and symphonic works to jazz pieces and contemporary music.
Collaborating on films with such notable directors as Academy Award-winner and four-time nominee István Szabó, Academy Award-winner Ferenc Rofusz, multi-award-winning Peter Bergendy, Attila Szász, and Lajos Koltai. Along with domestic honours, his work has been recognised with numerous international festival awards in Europe and overseas.
