Internationally recognized Serbian opera singer is winner of the prestigious BraVo Award Golden statue for 2024 for the personal achievements in classical music and the best opera singer wich she received in Bolshoi Theatre in Moskau.
She studied music in Graz and Vienna (Austria) where she completed her education with a master's degree in 2005 and started successfully her career as freelance artist.
Her first artistic engagements were Carmen at Cape Town opera (South Africa), Santuzza in Cavalleria Rusticana in Maribor (Slovenia), Amneris in Aida and Herodias in Salome in Aachen, Joanna in Tchaikovsky’s Jean d’Arch in Erfurt, Judit in Bluebeard's Castle in Bremen and Bremerhaven, Ulrica in Un Ballo in Maschera in Würzburg (Germany), guest artist at the Volksoper in Vienna, (Die Vögel, Nutknacker, Carmen), Amneris in Salzburg (Austria), Carmen in Kosice (Slovakia) etc.
From 2011 to 2013 Mrs. Sanja Anastasia was a member of the Mainz State Theater (Germany), where she successfully performed Lucretia in The Rape of Lucretia, Ulrica in Un Ballo in Maschera, Olga in Eugene Onegin, Clytemnestra in Elektra, Princess in The Prince of Homburg, as well as La Principessa in Adriana Lecouvreur, Mescalina in Le Grand Macabre and Madre in Al gran Sole Carico d'amore.
In 2013 Mrs. Sanja Anastasia became regular guest artist at ARENA DI VERONA, the biggest international open-air festival in the world, where she performed with great success more then sixty performances in the following six years as Amneris in Aida, Carmen, Ulrica in Un Ballo in Maschera, Azucena in Il Trovatore, Fenena in Nabucco, Flora in La Traviata, Gertrude in Romeo et Giuliette, sharing the stage with the most famous opera singers and conductors of nowadays like Placido Domingo, Leo Nucci, Daniel Oren, Marco Armiliato and others.
Among Arena di Verona, Mrs. Sanja Anastasia is performing at many other opera houses and festivals in Europe, Turkey, South Korea, Japan, China, Egypt, South Africa and America.
In concert field Mrs. Sanja Anastasia colaborates with numerous orchestras such as Moscow Philharmony, Philharmony Fondazione Arena di Verona, Tokyo Philharmony, Macedonian and Slovenian Philharmony, Dubrovnik Symphonic Orchestra, Mainz, Sarajevo, Belgrade Philharmony and Symphonic Orchestra of Radio Television of Serbia and others.
Many of her opera and concert performances were recorded and broadcasted on RAI, Italia Classica, WDR, NWR Germany, MEZZO TV, ARTE Kanal, Russia Culture TV, BNT Bulgaria, TVM Malta, RTV Sarajevo, RTS Serbia.
Since 2023 Mrs. Sanja Anastasia became principal mezzo soprano at the National Theater in Belgrade.
